General Essential Oil Safety
Most of my products that contain essential oils are made with a safe 1% dilution rate. Fur baby & child products are
0.5% dilution. Pain Butters with 2% dilution for extra relief. Dilution rate means how strong essential oils are in products.
Use caution with children, animals, and the elderly, or consult your doctor if you are on medication, have a medical condition, or have a nut allergy- to check for interactions or sensitivity.
If you have not used essential oils or have nut allergies-
some products may contain nut oils.
Please do a patch test before use if any doubts.
The patch test generally does not pertain to Soap as the ingredients in soap typically wash off.
Do not ingest products. Or let fur babies lick products off your skin.
Essential oils do not heal instead, they enhance, help and encourage healing and mending of the skin and soul.
Body Butters & Lotions (Leave-on Products)
Please do a skin patch test (24hr) to check for sensitivity or allergic reactions. Some products contain
nuts or if you are unsure about using essential oils.
My products are all-natural, so do not expose to high heat for extended periods (could melt*).
Suppose Body Butters in a jar (i.e., MudBath-PainAway) become hard. In that case, you can put it in the microwave for 5-second bursts until it softens. However, be careful not too long the jar may melt.
Lotion bars are not Soap. Do not use in water or shower. Instead, use like soap bar on dry skin. They travel easily (but don't let them sit in hot places or in sunlight).
*If melting occurs, you can put the product in the refrigerator to firm up the product
Dog & Cat General Safety with Essential oils:
With 45 million to 80 million receptors, cats have a far better sense of smell—but they can't measure up to the average dog, whose snout holds between 149 million and 300 million receptors.
So exercise caution when using scents and essential oils with your fur babies, when diffusing or room sprays for example- because if it's a strong scent to you, it's far stronger for them!
Tip: If diffusing-make sure fur baby can leave the room if scent bothers them.
Bath Bombs:
Firstly Remove Bomb from the wrapper, drop in warm water and watch the magic
Use caution when exiting; the tub may be a little slippery from oils in the bath bomb.
A suggestion is you may want to wipe down the tub with a cloth (a spray of vinegar on the tub works well) when finished in the bath to remove any leftover product.
Soaps:
HolliCrafted soap products use skin softening and nourishing ingredients that make your hands so clean and soft!
These delightful creations wash off and don’t typically soak into the skin at high levels.
